Alterdime 2.0, the second edition of the flagship event by IEEE CS SBC GEC Barton Hill, successfully incorporated a STEM activity designed for school students, offering them a comprehensive introduction to coding.
ALTERDIME 2.0
The session provided a valuable insight into Python programming, covering foundational concepts as well as the basics of Numpy and Matplotlib. This initiative aimed to inspire and educate young minds in the field of technology, allowing them to explore programming in an accessible and engaging way.
The event offered several key benefits, including hands-on, guided project-building experience and certificates upon project completion. It was designed to cater to both beginners and intermediate-level coding enthusiasts, offering a unique opportunity to learn more about the IEEE Computer Society and explore additional opportunities within the field. The session was led by Sai Krishnan R, the Treasurer of IEEE CS SBC GECBH and a Python developer, at Christ Nagar Higher Secondary School, Kowdiar, further fostering a strong connection between the student community and the world of technology.
