EXORDIUM 2.0, the flagship event of the IEEE Student Branch GEC Barton Hill, Thiruvananthapuram, is a dynamic platform offering a vibrant mix of talks, workshops, and competitions tailored for students. This grand event aims to nurture young professionals, equipping them with industry-relevant expertise and essential skills to drive technological innovation and progress. The event featured 13 events which included both technical and non-technical activities, designed to enhance technical, managerial, collaborative, and volunteering skills, attracting an impressive offline participation of 110 attendees. The event not only captivated the students of GEC Barton Hill but also provided an opportunity for students from other universities to participate in this grand occasion. A drone workshop was held at Government Engineering College Barton Hill, Trivandrum, on November 5th and 6th, 2022, as a precursor to EXORDIUM 2.0.

The inaugural ceremony, held on 18th November 2022, featured Mrs. Sarada Jayakrishnan as the Chief Guest and marked the launch of “Shristi”, the newly established SIGHT Chapter, making it a significant and memorable start to the event. A networking session with Young Professionals (YPs) was held on 18th November 2022, aiming to introduce participants to the various benefits offered by IEEE while fostering connections and interaction among attendees.

We were beyond elated to have hosted AR-a-THON, a 3-hour project-based augmented reality workshop using the Vuforia SDK in Unity. The session, led by Mr. Fahad PN, an AR Developer, took place on November 19th, 2022, with 55 participants joining the event. A 3-hour Build-a-Thon was held, offering participants the opportunity to create basic robotics projects from scratch. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, 55 participants took part in the event, gaining hands-on experience and learning valuable skills. IEEE AP-S and MTT-S SBCS at GEC Barton Hill, Trivandrum, brought the excitement of "Family Feud" to life with "Feud Rebus", a series of fun-filled games. "Sell Me The Code", an exciting blend of coding and business, was hosted by IEEE Computer Society SBC GEC Barton Hill.

IEEE WIE AG GEC Barton Hill, Trivandrum, presented the "PERSPECTIVE”, which consisted of two rounds : the first round was a situation reaction test, while the second round challenged participants with a word association test. "BREAKOUT: The Escape Room", an exciting escape room experience in real life was presented by IEEE RAS SBC GEC Barton Hill. The Cultural Night, conducted as part of IEEE SB GEC Barton Hill, became the highlight of the event. The Valedictory Ceremony marked the conclusion of EXORDIUM 2.0, during which several prizes were awarded, including those for EXORDIUM, COGNITIONIS 2.0, and the group activities of the SBCs. The night concluded with a beautiful candlelight dinner, attended by all the participants and volunteers. The event came to an end with the Industrial Visit, organized for all participants to the Kerala State Science and Technology Museum and the Priyadarshini Planetarium on November 20th, 2022.
