The IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) is a global organisation dedicated to the advancement of microwave theory, techniques, and applications in RF, microwave, guided wave, and wireless technologies. At the local branch level, the IEEE MTT-S Student Branch Chapter (SBC) at GECBH stands as a vibrant and proactive group. Their primary mission revolves around nurturing the knowledge and passion of their members within these specialised fields. They accomplish this through a multifaceted approach that emphasises member welfare and professional growth.

One prominent aspect of their efforts is the facilitation of industrial exposure through organised visits to notable institutions such as IPRC Mahendragiri. Additionally, the SBC strives to foster a culture of learning by hosting Distinguished Lecture Programmes (DLPs) featuring distinguished personalities and experts, including Nobel Laureates. These lectures provide invaluable insights and knowledge. The IEEE MTT-S Student Branch Chapter at GECBH continues to be a catalyst for growth, knowledge, and collaboration within the realm of microwave technology, promising a bright future for its members.
